Dorian Thompson

Dorian’s beginnings in building started at a very young age working alongside his father and brother during summer breaks from school. Since finishing high school, he has worked for 17 years full-time in the construction industry as a laborer, carpenter and now in his current role as President of Thompson Construction.
Dorian is responsible for developing and coordinating each project at Thompson Construction. He communicates with each customer to determine their desires for their building project to ensure that the key issues of cost, time, quality and above all, client satisfaction, are met. The most rewarding part of Dorian’s job is finishing a project and seeing his customers love where they live again!
Dorian and his wife Lindsay, along with their five children reside in Independence and enjoy spending time at their farmhouse. They stay busy with 2 farm dogs, 3 barn cats, and a flock of laying hens and ducks!
David Thompson
Founder | Craftsman | Artist
David stumbled on building in 1984 when he constructed his own home from the ground up. It was not until 1991 that he made a full career change from art & advertising to the building sector.
David has built the foundation of the Thompson name on his creativity, unwavering work ethic and whole-hearted commitment to our customers.
David brings over 29 years of hands-on expertise and craftsmanship to Thompson Construction. His background as a photographer and artist along with his free spirit naturally lends him to put his creative skills to work on the design drawings for our customers and creating solutions to complex and challenging aspects of our projects.
David and his wife Nadine reside in Mound. Nadine is French, and together they spend the summer months enjoying their farmhouse in the countryside of France.
Lindsay R. Thompson
Administrative Assistant | Marketing | Interior Design
Lindsay provides various administrative support and is responsible for all of Thompson Construction’s marketing activities. She recently acquired a diploma in interior design to add value to the companies design process.
Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband, Dorian, and raising & homeschooling their five children on their countryside farmhouse.
Ezra
Craftsman | Carpenter | Restorer
Ezra began his career in 2002, becoming highly skilled in trim carpentry. His positive approach to new projects, along with his attention to detail makes him a valued Trade Subcontractor at Thompson Construction.
Beyond working Construction, Ezra has run an antique salvage business specializing in farming items and vintage decor. He also is an incredible singer & is on the worship team at his local church.
